CurrPorts 1.86

CurrPorts Editor's Review

CurrPorts is an application which displays the list of all currently opened TCP/IP and UDP ports on your local computer. I see it as a very useful networking tool that displays a lot of details related to TCP/IP and UDP ports: in the main window you can see processes names and IDs, protocol, local port, local port name, local address.

You can also see remote port, remote port name, remote address, remote host name, state, process path, product name, file description, version and publishing company, process creation date, process services and attributes. You can view a customized list of ports by creating filters with your own rules.

Pluses: CurrPorts allows you to close unwanted TCP connections, kill the process that opened unwanted ports. You can generate and save information reports to HTML, XML, or tab-delimited text file.

Drawbacks / flaws:

In conclusion: Compact, comprehensive and offering a clear image of your ports' status, CurrPorts proves to be a must have web tool.
